Our teams were once again out in force across the UK this weekend.

RedBull Foxhunt – Six medics provided cover to this two day, all female, downhill mountain bike event in North Wales. One competitor had a slip causing a significant ankle injury. She was treated by our paramedics and rescue techs before being evacuated from steep ground to a waiting ambulance. The med centre also saw it’s fair share of soft tissue injuries. Our Land Rovers were put through their paces on this event. It was rather muddy!

Obstacle Course Race – Seven medics were in attendance for this event in Nottingham. We also worked alongside a crew from East Midlands Ambulance Service. Our teams dealt with a nasty dislocated ankle fracture, an asthma attack and the usual cuts and grazes associated with these events.

SwimRun Event – We had four medics and three of our communications team at this event in the Lake District. Our medical teams had a quiet day. The communications team were busy ensuring radio communications were effective over a large geographical area. They also were running event control, ensuring all competitors could be accounted for.
